What’s Swash? Visit Mod and find out.
August 21, 2008
You have parties to attend, martinis to sip — who has time to wash clothes?
Procter & Gamble is launching a line of products called Swash to get out stains, wrinkles and odors without washing.
The products are scheduled to hit area stores on Sept. 1 but Lexington is getting a preview tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mod, 828 East High Street. Hosted by local style site Hautemommastuff.com, the event will feature 20 percent off Mod fashions, a DJ, cocktails and Swash demonstrations.
After Sept. 1 you’ll find Swash at these Lexington stores: Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS, Family Dollar, Kmart, Kroger, Meijer, Sam’s Club, Target, Wal-Mart and Walgreens. Prices will range from about $3 to $5.

While I grew up in small-town Kentucky I’ve always been fascinated with the cosmopolitan world of high fashion. On the other hand, I love a bargain and the thrill of shopping for just the right piece.
I have a degree in English from the University of Kentucky, and since 2002 I’ve written a column for the Lexington Herald-Leader about shopping, beauty and fashion. During that time I’ve interviewed everyone from designers to boutique owners about trends and style. And I’m still forever searching for the next big sale.
