The sales go on for miles

The Highway 68 400-mile Yard Sale starts Thursday, June 4 and goes on through Sunday, June 7. Shop at yard sales, antique stores and flea markets in 60 communities along U.S. 68 in Kentucky.
Think of next week’s event as a training mission for the 127 Corridor Sale coming Aug. 6 to 9. That one stretches from the Ohio-Michigan state line to Gadsden, Ala. — more than 600 miles.
And for those bargain hunters planning to hit the sale between Jamestown and Chattanooga from Aug. 6 to 8, you could be on HGTV.
The network’s “Endless Yard Sale” is looking for “teams of neighbors, friends and co-workers (must live in the same town) willing to compete against each other in a yard-selling competition. Each team will be given a budget to make over a room in their home.”
