St. James Court Art Show is this weekend
October 1, 2009
The St. James Court Art Show, featuring more than 700 artists, is this weekend in Louisville. It’s in the historic district on St. James and Belgravia courts and South Third and Fourth streets. Admission is free to this outdoor event, but you’ll probably pay for parking (about $10 or less per car) in one of the local lots. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Jewelry artist Rachael Adamiak of Austin, Texas will be at the show. Her bangles with resin accents (pictured above) are sold in sets of three for $210.

While I grew up in small-town Kentucky I’ve always been fascinated with the cosmopolitan world of high fashion. On the other hand, I love a bargain and the thrill of shopping for just the right piece.
I have a degree in English from the University of Kentucky, and since 2002 I’ve written a column for the Lexington Herald-Leader about shopping, beauty and fashion. During that time I’ve interviewed everyone from designers to boutique owners about trends and style. And I’m still forever searching for the next big sale.
