Two limited-edition prints by Kentucky wildlife artist and naturalist Ray Harm are available only through Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital.
Harm and Tim Farmer, the host of Kentucky Educational Television’s “Kentucky Afield,” will sign copies of the prints, “Whitetail” and “Cardinal and Sunflower,” (pictured above) at the hospital, 2050 Versailles Road, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Leontine Linens, with corporate offices in Georgetown, Ky. and a flagship store in New Orleans, was featured in today’s Washington Post. Writer Terri Sapienza’s roundup of stylish skull-and-crossbones designs for the home included the company’s Jolly Roger motif,  available in about 100 colors on bed linens (pictured above), towels and shower curtains.

“We are known for our monogram specialty, so it’s a departure for us,” said Leontine owner Jane Scott Hodges, a Kentucky native. “But we find it fun to fold in a motif that we think is universal. Monograms aren’t for everyone.”

One of the season’s freshest color palettes for nails and makeup are shiny mineral hues — sort of a chic industrialized look. While deep nail colors have ruled the past few years (OPI’s inky purple-black Lincoln Park after Dark is a cult fave) companies are now adding a silvers, golds and mattes to the mix. Exquisite Art Nouveau jewelry will be on display at the Cincinnati Art Museum from Oct. 31 through Jan. 17. “Imperishable Beauty,” featuring more than 100 works by major designers and jewelers of the era including René Lalique, Henri Vever, Phillippe Wolfers and Tiffany & Co., was organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This French brooch (pictured above, courtesy of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston) from around 1900, features opal and pearl, gold and enamel.

Works that inspired these artists, including textiles from William Morris, posters by Alphonse Mucha and other items from the art museum’s permanent collection, will also be featured.

Prices will range from 50 cents to $10 on regular items  — hats, jeans, coats, formal gowns, nightgowns, dresses, robes, shirts, vests, capes — with specialty costumes prices as marked. Bargain alert: prices will be slashed during the final hour of the sale.

The fashion and art of Georgetown artist Jamie Kuli McIntosh is showcased in “Recycled Wearables,” an exhibit at The Gallery at the Winchester Opera House, 101 South Main Street, ­Winchester. It’s on view through Oct. 31. That’s one of her creations above, an elegant ballgown fashioned from blue plastic.
McIntosh, a graduate of Transylvania University, is a textile and fiber artist who creates “art clothing” from castoff ­materials, including dryer sheets, upholstery, plastic sheets and cat food bags.
An opening reception is 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. The gallery will host a fashion show of McIntosh’s designs  6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 23.
