Pajama party at Mulberry & Lime

A few chilly nights and you’re more than ready for the flannel pajamas, but maybe it’s time to ditch the plaids and go for something with a little more pizzazz.

One of the largest and loveliest selections of lounge and sleepwear around is from Pine Cone Hill, and you can see the whole collection and buy and order items at a pajama party, Nov. 15 at Mulberry & Lime, 216 North Limestone. That’s the Kimono flannel pajama ($64) shown above.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., enjoy beignets from Doodles and coffee and cocoa from Third Street Stuff while the Mulberry & Lime staff and Michelle Corbett from Pine Cone Hill show you the 30 silhouettes and 100 prints and solids available for women — everything from green leopard print to pretty pink and organic poppies. Men’s styles come in a sheepy fleece. While you’re there, check out the store’s displays of gorgeous bedding also from Pine Cone Hill.

Harriett HendrenWhile I grew up in small-town Kentucky I’ve always been fascinated with the cosmopolitan world of high fashion. On the other hand, I love a bargain and the thrill of shopping for just the right piece. I have a degree in English from the University of Kentucky, and since 2002 I’ve written a column for the Lexington Herald-Leader about shopping, beauty and fashion. During that time I’ve interviewed everyone from designers to boutique owners about trends and style. And I’m still forever searching for the next big sale.
